ITALIAN COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
3 c. sugar
2 c. sour cream (lg. size)
2 tsp. anise
5 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Chill for 1 hour or overnight. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. When cool, frost and put a few sprinkles on top.

FROSTING:

About 3/4 box confectioners' sugar
A little milk
1 1/2 tsp. anise

Always a favorite.
