JAM CAKE 
1 c. of butter
2 c. of sugar
4 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. blackberry or strawberry jam
1 c. walnuts
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. each of cinnamon, allspice & nutmeg
1 c. raisins
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs, dissolve soda in buttermilk. Mix spices, raisins, coconut, spices and flour. Add vanilla, jam and nuts last. Beat well. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes in a 9 inch tube pan or 3 (9 inch) pans.

FILLING FOR JAM CAKE:

1 c. milk
1 tsp. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs

1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. coconut
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla

Then spread on cake. Very good!
