VANILLA WAFER CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 stick butter, softened
2 tsp. vanilla
6 eggs
1 box vanilla wafers, crushed
1/2 c. milk
1 (7 oz.) pkg. coconut
1 to 2 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped

Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time. Blend well. Add crushed wafers and milk. Mix together. Add coconut and nuts. Mix thoroughly. Bake in greased and floured tube or deep cake pan at 325 degrees approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 box confectioners sugar

Blend together and spread.
