RED VELVET CAKE 
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 c. Crisco
3 eggs
2 (1 oz.) red food coloring
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix all ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees until done in layer pans.

ICING:

1 box powdered sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans

Mix together, add pecans last.
