BRAN MUFFINS 
2 c. boiling water
2 c. All Bran cereal
5 c. all purpose flour
5 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1 c. honey
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
4 c. Grape Nuts
1 c. raisins (optional)

Pour boiling water over all bran cereal. Set aside to cool. Mix dry ingredients in large bowl and whisk together. In blender, mix honey, shortening, eggs and 2 cups buttermilk. Pour blender mixture over dry ingredients. Add last 2 cups buttermilk, Grapenuts and All Bran cereal. Mix but don't overmix. Dough should still be lumpy. Store in covered container for up to 6 weeks in refrigerator.
