1 lb. can beets 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can beef consomme 1/2 can water 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. lemon juice 2 tbsp. cider vinegar 1 tsp. grated onion 1/2 tsp. salt Dash of garlic salt Put beets in blender or grate. Mix all ingredients and serve either hot or cold. Serve over chopped scallions or chopped cucumbers. Add a dab of sour cream on top or mix in sour cream to make pink borsch. |
