1 egg
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. boiling water

Put in bowl in order given. Do not mix until last item is added. Beat well. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. 9 inch square pan.
