GRANNY D'S POTATO DOUGHNUTS 
ream together:

6 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. shortening

ift together:

5 1/2 c. flour
8 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. mace

Add dry ingredients alternately with 2 cups mashed potatoes until well blended. Chill for several hours. Roll out on floured board to 1/2 inch thick. Cut with doughnut cutter and fry in hot oil. When doughnut rises to top of oil, turn over and fry until brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels and roll in mixture of 2 cups sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
