MICROWAVE CORNBREAD 
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. cornmeal
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten

Combine dry ingredients. Stir in milk, oil and egg, mixing until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour batter into ungreased 9-inch pie plate or round microwavable cake pan. Microwave on High for 5-6 minutes. Rotate pan after 2 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serves 8.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
