AUTUMN FRUIT SALAD | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla extract 6 c. cubed unpeeled apples 2 c. halved red seedless grapes 1 c. diced celery 1 c. walnut halves In a saucepan, combine sugar and flour. Stir in water, bring to a boil. Cook and stir until mixture thickens. Remove from the heat; stir in butter and vanilla. Cool to room temperature. In a large bowl, combine apples, grapes, celery and walnuts. Add the dressing and toss gently. Refrigerate until serving. Yield: 8-10 servings. |
