BARLEY SOUP | |
2 lb. meat 1 1/2 tbsp. salt 2 tbsp. parsley 1 c. cubed carrots 1/2 c. chopped celery 1 c. peas 2 qt. water 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. barley 1/4 c. onions 1 can stewed tomatoes Brown meat and drain; place meat, water, seasonings and parsley in pot. Cover. Cook 1 hour. Add barley and cook 1 hour more. Add onions, carrots and celery; cook 45 minutes. Add peas, last cook 15 minutes more. |
