CORN MEAL CORN BREAD 
2 1/4 cups corn meal
2 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
3 tsp shortening
3 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Beat eggs, add milk, shortening, salt, meal, soda and baking powder and mix well. Pour into hot greased pan, put in hot oven (450°F) for about 25 to 30 minutes.
