FLOUR TORTILLAS | |
2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. Crisco 1/2 c. water (warm 110 degrees) Mix flour, salt, baking powder and Crisco (crumbly). Add 1/2 cup water or little more to develop dough consistency. Divide into 12 balls. Put in plastic bag 15 minutes. Roll on flour surface 1/4" thick round tortilla. Fry in ungreased skillet, medium heat, 1 1/2 minutes each side. Makes 12. |
