STRAWBERRY PARTY PIE 
1 baked 9 inch pastry shell
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. water
6 c. strawberries, halved lengthwise

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan. Slowly sitr in water and 2 cups berries.

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils, about 3 minutes. Cool slightly.

Layer remaining strawberries, cut side down in circles, then spoon strawberry glaze over. Chill until firm. Serve plain or topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
