TEXAS BRISKET | |
1 trimmed 8 to 9 lb. brisket 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. celery salt 1 bottle liquid smoke Place brisket in large roasting pan (be sure to use a large pan as there will be a large amount of liquid cooking out of brisket). Lightly sprinkle brisket with salt, pepper, and celery salt. Pour bottle of liquid smoke over brisket. Cover with foil. Cook slowly at 250 degrees for 10-12 hours. Pour out liquid, cover with your favorite barbeque sauce and return to oven for 1 hour, uncovered. |
