SWEDISH COFFEE BREAD 
2 c. scalded milk
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
2 well beaten eggs
2 cakes (or pkgs.) yeast
Enough flour to make soft dough
Crushed cardamom - 1/2 - 3/4 tsp.

Add sugar, salt and shortening to milk; scald. Dissolve yeast in a little warm water.

To liquids, add eggs and flour, a little at a time, and cardamom. When dough is of a consistency to knead, put on floured board and knead.

Raise once to double. Then dough is ready to form into loaves or rolls. Let raise. Bake 350 degrees.
