CHILI 
1 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
2 lg. onions, chopped
2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans red kidney beans
2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans dark red kidney beans
1 (28 oz.) can peeled tomatoes, cut up
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
2 (4 oz.) cans diced green chili peppers
1/4 c. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. crushed dried oregano
1/4 tsp. ground red pepper (optional)
1/8 tsp. pepper

In a large Dutch oven cook the meat and onion until meat is brown and onion tender. Drain off fat. Stir in the undrained beans, tomatoes, green chili peppers. Add chili powder, garlic powder, oregano, red pepper, and pepper.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, about 1 1/4 hours or until of desired consistency, stirring occasionally. Makes 12 (1 cup) servings.
