MARBLE CHIP POUND CAKE | |
1 1/4 c. semi-sweet real chocolate chips 3 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. oil 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 c. bourbon whiskey 5 eggs 3/4 c. milk Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips over low heat. Set aside. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. In large bowl combine sugar, oil, and vanilla. Beat well. Add eggs, one at a time. Add bourbon. Gradually add flour mixture alternately with the milk. Divide batter in half. Stir in melted chocolate chips and remaining 3/4 cup chocolate chips into one half of batter. Mix well. Pour half of plain batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Top with half of chocolate batter. Repeat with remaining batters. Bake for 60 minutes. Cool 15 minutes in pan. Remove from pan. Cool. |
