PUMPKIN BREAD | |
3 c. sugar 1 c. oil (Crisco or Wesson) 4 eggs, beaten 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. allspice 1/2 tsp. cloves 1 c. chopped nuts 1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin 2/3 c. water 3 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. cinnamon Cream sugar and oil together. Add eggs and pumpkin, mix well, sift together dry ingredients and add alternating with water. Pour into 2 well-greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until done. Let stand 10 minutes and remove from pan to cool. Makes 2 loaves. |
