CANDY APPLES 
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. water
Dash salt
Few drops cinnamon oil
Red food color
Apples

Combine sugar, syrup, water and salt in top of double boiler. Over medium heat, stir constantly until mixture begins to boil. Cook without stirring to 300 degrees using low flame. Remove from heat. Add cinnamon and color. Insert small sucker stick in apple, dip apples and allow to cool on greased pan.
