SWEDISH CREAM WAFERS 
1 c. soft butter
1/3 c. heavy cream
2 c. flour

Mix and chill. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Roll out 1/3 of dough; keep the rest refrigerated. Cut dough with a 1 1/2 inch cookie cutter. Place on wax paper; slip paper onto cookie sheet. Prick with fork. Bake 8-9 minutes. Remove to cool. Then sandwich with this filling.

FILLING:

1 egg yolk
1/4 c. butter (1/2 stick)
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. powdered sugar

Blend well and spread a little on a cookie; top with another cookie. These cookies are very delicate, so spread carefully. For Christmas the filling may be colored.
