SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS 57 
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
2 tbsp. shortening
1 med. green pepper, cut into strips
1 med. onion, sliced
1 1/2 c. pineapple juice
1/4 c. Heinz 57 sauce
Hot buttered rice

Lightly combine first 4 ingredients; form into 16 meatballs. Partially brown meatballs in shortening. Add green pepper and onion; saute until vegetables are tender. Stir in pineapple juice and 57 sauce. Cover; simmer 15-20 minutes or until meatballs are cooked. Thicken sauce with cornstarch and water mixture. Serve over buttered rice. Makes 4 servings.
