POPPY SEED BANANA BREAD 
2 extra ripe bananas, peeled
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. poppy seeds

Mash bananas. Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and lemon rind until blended. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Alternate dry and wet ingredients. Stir in poppy seeds. Turn into well greased 9 x 5 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes or until done. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn onto wire rack and cool completely.
