CHOCOLATE CHIP BARS 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 lg. eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Place butter in 2-quart micro-proof bowl. Microwave at power level 8 for 1 minute. Add brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir until blended. Add nuts, chocolate chips, flour, and baking powder; mix well. Spread in 9 inch round micro-proof baking dish. Microwave at power level 10 for 3 1/2 minutes. Rotate dish one-quarter turn. Microwave at power level 10 for 4 to 5 more minutes or until bars test done. Let stand in pan until cool. Cut into 24 bars.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
