GINGER ICE CREAM SANDWICHES 
3/4 c. butter, softened
1 c. plus additional sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. each ginger, cinnamon and ground cloves
1/2 gal. French vanilla ice cream

Beat butter and 1 cup sugar until fluffy. Beat in molasses and egg.

In another bowl blend all dry ingredients. Add slowly to butter mixture.

Roll dough into 2 inch balls. Roll into additional sugar. Place on greased baking sheet.
