SAUCY ACORNS 
2 acorn squash
1/2 c. applesauce
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. brown sugar
Cinnamon

Pierce each squash 3 or 4 times with a fork. Place on paper towel in microwave. Cook 10 to 13 minutes. Remove. Cool slightly, cut each squash in half lengthwise. Remove seeds. Place squash cut side up in microwave-safe dish. Spoon 2 tablespoons applesauce into each half. Top with brown sugar. Divide butter between the 4 halves. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Microwave for 4 to 6 minutes or until steaming hot.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
