ACORN SQUASH 
1 acorn squash

Prick squash several times with fork to allow steam to escape. Place in oven. Microwave at high (100%) until soft when pricked with fork, 10-12 minutes. If using oven other than sharp carousel, turn squash over and rotate after half the cooking time. Let stand 5 minutes. Cut in half and remove seeds. Remove the meat of squash and season to taste. I use brown sugar, butter, salt and pepper. Put in microwave just long enough to melt the butter.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
