SPICY HOT DOG SAUCE | |
4 to 6 pkg. of mini hotdogs or sausages 3/4 c. chopped green peppers 3/4 c. chopped onions 1 c. ketchup 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. allspice In a large skillet or saucepan, heat. Add 1 to 2 teaspoons oil, saute peppers and onions just until limp, not browned. Add remaining ingredients, except hotdogs. Simmer about 10 to 15 minutes. This can be done ahead and when ready to serve, heat in an electric skillet or chaffing pan. Add hot dogs and heat thoroughly stirring occasionally. Use picks to serve. Can use regular hot dogs and place on buns. Delicious! Or, cut up for cocktails. This sauce is sweet-spicy and everyone likes them. |
