CHOCOLATE BUTTERMILK CAKE WITH
ICING
 
2 sticks butter
1 c. water
4 tbsp. cocoa

DRY INGREDIENTS:

2 c. flour
2 c. sugar

REMAINING INGREDIENTS:

1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 slightly beaten eggs

Bring to rapid boil and pour over the dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients and mix together. Bake in 15 x 10 x 1 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

ICING FOR CAKE:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. buttermilk
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Melt butter, cocoa and buttermilk. Bring to boil and add sugar combination. Spread while cake is warm. Freezes well.
