LAYERED SUMMER SALAD 
1 sm. head lettuce, torn in bite size pieces
1/2 sm. sweet purple onion
3 stalks celery, chopped
Cherry tomatoes, cut in half, as many as necessary
3-4 hard boiled eggs, sliced
1 (10 oz.) box frozen green peas, cooked and cooled

In a glass salad bowl, arrange layers of the above. Don't be afraid to make substitutes. Put in what you like!

TOPPING:

Mix 2 cups mayonnaise with 2 tablespoons sugar. Spread over the salad, sealing it at the edges. Sprinkle the top with your favorite grated cheese. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 8 hours before serving.
