RICE AND TOMATO GRAVY WITH
HAMBURGERS
 
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 tsp. garlic pepper seasoning
2 c. white rice, cooked
3/4 of 46 oz. can tomato juice
1/4 c. water

Season hamburger with garlic pepper, make into patties. Fry hamburgers until done in large frying pan (12 inches or more). Place hamburger in warm oven until serving.

Add water to frying pan and bring to boil using a whisk to cook up hamburger drippings 1 minute. Add tomato juice to drippings and bring to a boil, thicken with flour or other prepared gravy thickening product. Serve tomato gravy over cooked rice with hamburgers on the side.
