1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter (softened)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Heat oven to 400 degrees. In large bowl combine sugar, butter, vanilla and eggs. Mix well. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Mix well. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon. Roll balls into sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from sheet. Cool. 48 cookies
