SNICKERDOODLES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon

Mix 1 1/2 cup sugar, butter, shortening and eggs in large bowl. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Shape dough into small balls (size may vary). Mix 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; roll balls into cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes in 400 degree oven. Remove immediately from cookie sheet. Makes 6 dozen cookies
