PITA BURGERS 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 med. onion, diced
1/8 c. pine nuts (optional)
1 tbsp. mixed spice

(Or 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, 1/8 teaspoon cumin).

Brown meat, onion and spices, add pine nuts and salt or soy sauce - to taste.

Serve in pita pockets with Sesame Sauce. Garnish with pickled turnips, bread and butter pickles, or half sour new pickles.

SAUCE:

2 tbsp. tahini (sesame paste)
1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. lemon juice
Garlic to taste
Chopped fresh parsley (optional)

MIXED ARAB SPICE:

About 1/2 cup.

2 tbsp. ground pepper
1 tbsp. ground coriander
1 tbsp. ground cloves
2 tbsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
1 nutmeg, grated
Pinch of ground cinnamon

BLACK PEPPER SPICE:

2 tbsp. black pepper
2 tbsp. turmeric
1 tbsp. cumin
