CHILI 
1 lb. hamburger
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. diced onion
1 sm. clove of garlic
4 c. cooked red kidney beans
2 tbsp. chili powder
2 c. canned tomatoes
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar

Melt butter in saucepan. Add onion and garlic. Cook until onion is tender, do not brown. Add hamburger, cook, stirring until lightly browned. Mix chili powder to paste with 2 tablespoons of cold water. Stir into hamburger. Add tomatoes, salt and sugar; mix well. Bring to boil; cover. Reduce heat, simmer for 1 hour. Add beans and cook until heated through.
