COCONUT LEMON SQUARES 
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. butter
2 tbsp. sugar

Mix and pat down in bottom of an 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake until light brown, 15 to 20 minutes, in a 350 degree oven. 1 c. brown sugar, packed 1 c. coconut 1 c. pecans, chopped 1/2 tsp. baking powder 2 tbsp. flour

Mix and spread on the baked crust. Bake again for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. 1 tbsp. butter Rind and juice of 1 lemon

Combine above ingredients to make as frosting. Pour over the warm cookies. When cool, cut into squares.

Makes about 20 squares.
