SALAT SCHUSSEL (SALAD BOWL) | |
1/2 med. cucumber, sliced 3 tomatoes, cut in wedges 1 grapefruit, peeled and sectioned 2 avocados, seeded, peeled and thinly sliced 1 green pepper, thinly sliced 4 fresh peaches, peeled, pitted and thinly sliced 1 head Boston lettuce, torn bite size 1/3 c. plain yogurt 1/3 c. sour cream 1/3 c. salad oil 1/4 c. chopped onion 2 tbsp. orange juice 2 tbsp. white wine vinegar 1 egg yolk 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. dry mustard Arrange vegetables and fruit in large salad bowl. Combine remaining ingredients except lettuce; mix very thoroughly. Pour enough dressing over fruit and vegetables to moisten. Chill 1 hour. Just before serving, add lettuce. Toss with salad. Makes 8 to 10 servings. |
