BOSTON BROWN BREAD 
2 tbsp. Brer Rabbit Molasses
1 c. raisins
2 c. water

Boil 5 minutes and cool.

Mix:

1 egg
2 1/4 tbsp. shortening
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla nuts (optional)

Combine with molasses mixture and pour into 4 greased and floured coffee cans.

Bake at 350°F. for approximately 1 hour.
