OYSTER STEW 
1 pt. oysters
1/2 stick or 1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1 qt. milk
1/4 c. cold water

Heat butter. Add oysters, liquids and water. Simmer gently until edges of oysters curl. Add milk. Heat to desired temperature.
