APPLE CREAM PIE 
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
4-5 med. size tart apples
1/2 c. heaviest cream
8 inch unbaked pie shell

Combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt; blend thoroughly. Sprinkle half the mixture over the bottom of the unbaked pie shell. Pare, core, and slice enough apples to fill shell with a slight mound at the center. Sprinkle apples with remaining sugar mixture. Pour cream gently over all. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake until done, about 40 minutes longer. Serve hot or cold.
