MEATLESS CHILI 
2 c. dried kidney beans
2/3 c. chopped onion
Garlic to taste
Bay leaf
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
2 tbsp. oil
2 1/2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Place dried beans in water and soak overnight. Simmer for 3 hours and drain. Combine beans, 6 cups water, 1/3 cup chopped onion, garlic, bay leaf, tomato paste, and simmer 2 hours. Heat oil in separate pan. Gradually add flour and spices the other 1/3 cup of onion. Heat 5 minutes. Stir in beans and cook 1 hour. Add salt and pepper.
