CHERRY COBBLER 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch salt
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. milk
1 (16 oz.) can tart red pitted cherries, undrained
1 c. hot water
Few drops red food coloring (optional)

Combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder and salt; add butter and milk, mixing well. Pour batter into greased 9-inch square baking pan.

Combine remaining ingredients and pour over batter evenly. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool cobbler before serving. Yield: 6 servings.
