1 1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/3 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
3 apples, sliced
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. sugar, brown

Cream together in mixer the sugar, egg, butter, and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk; beat about 5 minutes. Pour into greased 8-inch pan. Top with sliced apples, cinnamon and brown sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
