STEAMED CARROT PUDDING 
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. grated carrots
1 c. currants
1 c. raisins

Mix and pour into greased coffee cans; steam for 2 hours.

HARD SAUCE FOR PUDDING:

1/3 c. butter
1 c. white or brown sugar
1/3 tsp. lemon extract
2/3 tsp. vanilla

Heat until dissolved. Pour over pudding slices.
