SAUERBRATEN 
1 1/2 to 2 lb. beef roast
1/2 c. white vinegar
1 tbsp. mixed spices
1 med. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. sugar
Kitchen Bouquet
Salt and pepper

Put spices in tea ball for easy removal later. Brush Kitchen Bouquet on the beef roast, salt and pepper. Brown roast in Dutch oven on all sides. Add the onion, Lea & Perrins Worcestershire, vinegar, sugar, mixed spices in the tea ball. Add 2 cups of water, put lid on Dutch oven. Roast at 325 degrees until tender, usually 2-3 hours.

Remove roast, thicken gravy. Serve with potato dumplings, spaetzles, mashed potatoes or noodles.
