STREUSEL COFFEECAKE 
COFFEECAKE:

3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. soft shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. Gold Medal flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix together thoroughly sugar, shortening and egg. Stir in milk. Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Spread half batter in greased and floured 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle with half of streusel mixture. Add remaining batter and sprinkle remaining streusel over top. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes (test with wooden pick). Cut in 3 inch squares. Serve warm.

STREUSEL MIX:

1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix together.
