GERMAN CHOCOLATE UPSIDE DOWN
CAKE
 
1/2 stick butter, melted
1 c. chopped pecans
6 oz. frozen coconut
18 1/4 oz. box German chocolate cake mix
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 lb. confectioners' sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour butter into 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle with nuts and coconut. Prepare cake mix according to package. Pour over coconut mixture. Combine cream cheese and sugar. Spoon over batter and spread as evenly as possible. Cook 45 to 50 minutes. Cool before cutting into 18 to 21 squares. May be flipped upside down and served plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.
