FREEZER CUCUMBER-ONION PICKLES 
2 qts. unpeeeled thinly sliced cucumbers
2 onions, sliced
2 tbsp. salt
1 c. vinegar
1 1/2 c. sugar

Mix cucumbers, onions and salt. Let stand 2-3 hours. Drain and rinse well. Mix vinegar and sugar; pour over vegetables. Stir until sugar dissolves and the syrup is thin. (It is thick at first.) Put in plastic containers and freeze. These are crispy with fresh taste.
