TEXAS BROWNIES OR SHEET CAKE 
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. strong brewed coffee
1/4 c. cocoa

Stir and heat to boiling.

1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Pour boiling mixture over the flour and sugar in mixing bowl; add the buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Mix well. Use spoon or electric mixer. Pour into a well-greased 17 1/2 x 11-inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until cake tests done in the center.

While cake is baking, make frosting in saucepan. Combine:

1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 c. milk

Heat to boiling stirring. Mix into boiling syrup 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour warm frosting over cake when you take it from the oven.
