CINNAMON - APPLE OATMEAL | |
1 c. water 3/4 c. unsweetened apple juice 2 tbsp. currants 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 3/4 c. regular oats, uncooked 2 1/2 tbsp. instant nonfat dry milk (powder) 2/3 c. chopped apple 1 1/2 tsp. brown sugar Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Add oats and milk powder; cook over medium heat 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; add apple and brown sugar. Cover; let stand 5 minutes. Yield: 4 servings (131 calories per 1/2 cup serving). |
